The other eye

Meet our little one-eyed sweetie pie, "D". D came to us through dog rescue, she had quite the life before she came to live with us. She is the most cuddly dog I have ever had, and she is Cole's BFF.

Cole is quick to let new people know that she only has one eye.

This is how the story goes:

"Cole, what happened to D's other eye?"

"She lost it!"

"Where did it go?"

"The garbage man came and took it and put it in the back of his truck and drove away!"

Birthday boy

Another request for a football cake this year. And I must say, quite an improvement over last year!

Urgent care visits - feared by many but rejoiced by my son. Visiting the doctor is basically the equivalent of Disneyland to my little man. He loves the special instruments, talking to the nurses and getting to pick out a sticker. Last week he had a cough he just couldn't shake and we found out he had a little bug that needed treatment. He got to wear this special "space mask" and even got to take it home. I cringed when the nurse warned me that I might have to hold him down to keep it on for five minutes, but he just stared proudly into the mirror the whole time. Hilarious.

I talk all the time, all day long.
